On Sunday, September 15, 2024, The Morton Arboretum hosted Latin GRAMMY Award-winner MISTER G. The internationally touring author, musician, and educator performed original songs from his popular children’s albums and highlighted his Spanish-English bilingual book, Señorita Mariposa.

The performance was included with Arboretum admission.

Señorita Mariposa Story Walk

Señorita Mariposa is a Spanish-English bilingual book by MISTER G that chronicles the extraordinary migration of a monarch butterfly from Canada to Mexico. Through Thursday, October 31, 2024, the book’s gorgeously illustrated pages will be displayed on large-scale panels along Meadow Lake Trail.

Hispanic Heritage Month

Join The Morton Arboretum during Hispanic Heritage Month to celebrate the cultures, histories, and contributions of people whose ancestors came from Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Experience a variety of special events and programs highlighting Latino, Latina, and Latinx communities as well as partners in the Arboretum’s important work to protect and conserve threatened trees and ecosystems in Latin America.

Señorita Mariposa, a Spanish-English bilingual book by MISTER G, chronicles the extraordinary migration of the monarch butterfly from Canada to Mexico. Through October 31, 2024, the book’s gorgeously illustrated pages will be displayed on large-scale panels along Meadow Lake Trail. The 0.6-mile paved accessible path loops around Meadow Lake.

The Señorita Mariposa Story Walk is open to the public and included with Arboretum admission.
